What can green do for you?

Green Heart is a unique project led by the UofL’s Christina Lee Brown Envirome Institute to study how increasing greenness (planting more trees and shrubs) changes air quality and health in urban neighborhoods.

Green Heart Louisville will:

  • Plant thousands of trees, many of which are mature,
  • Add grasses and shrubs to maximize greenness, and
  • Create vegetative buffers along major roadways to decrease air pollution.

We need your help to see how increasing greenness in your neighborhood affects personal health and the sense of community.

We invite you to join us by filling out the form below to see if your area is in a greening zone.
